Pandorian girl part 1
Evergray stood next to a tree in the Mirror Marshes, facing away from the twisting path. All of a sudden, he heard a voice behind him.
“You’re Evergray, aren’t you?” the voice said. It belonged to a girl. He turned around a saw a young girl, about 20 years old, standing face to face with him. Before he could answer her question, she continued:
“You’re helping the lightbringer get into Pandoria.” she said, and it was not meant as a question. There was something odd with her left eye and Evergray immediately knew why.
“And you’re a pandorian!” he responded.
“That I am.” she smiled.
Amazed by the fact that an actual pandorian stood infront of him made him take a step back. They both took a second, eyeing each other head to toe, before either of them said anything.
“That does not look healthy.” she said after a few moments of silence, looking directly at his left eye that was glowing with pandorian energy.
“Yes, well it’s not as natural for me as it is for you” he said at gestured with his eyes towards her also glowing eye.
“I’ve seen you a few times during your travels in Pandoria.”
Evergray raised an eyebrow to her statement.
“Maybe that’s true, but I’ve never seen a pandorian during my time there.” he said.
“Truth or lie. Reality or made believe. Yesterday or tomorrow. You’ll never know for sure in our land.” she turned her back at him and started walking away. Evergray immediately followed.
They made their way through the Mirror Marshes, over bridges he’d swore wasn’t there yesterday. Close to the outskirts, he saw a crack opening when they got past the last bridge. The girl stopped right infront of it and turned around towards him.
“Here’s the way you’ve been looking for all morning.” she said. “Be careful and maybe we’ll see each other again.” Evergray wanted to say something, but no words came out of his mouth. The girl took a step back into the pandorian crack, and as she faded away he could hear her final words:
“The name’s Melanie by the way.”
